CMRT manages, by contract, Howard Transit (Howard County-based) and Connect-A-Ride (Laurel/Anne Arundel-based) transit services in the Central Maryland Region.

Transit Trainer

Regional Transit organization is seeking a transit trainer for a new training program. The position is grant-funded for a two-year duration of time.    

Responsibilities:

  • Develop transit training materials which will include, but not limited to: a training curriculum, short video and other program materials.
  • Conduct training workshops on how to use fixed route public transportation. These workshops will target people who work with seniors and people with disabilities (i.e. job coaches, counselors, rehabilitation specialists etc.) in Carroll, Harford, and Baltimore counties along with the City of Baltimore.
  • Assemble an advisory board that will assist in guiding the project and provide assistance in identifying training participants as well as measuring the project outcomes.
  • Perform program outreach and marketing.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly progress reports.

Ideal Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field. Excellent verbal and written skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft office Suite as well as knowledge of graphics design software is desirable; Experience with public transportation and/or training a plus.

Compensation:   $36K-$40K with full benefits
